Dr Anne Lee

We are delighted to announce that Dr Anne Lee has joined our practice at Gladesville Retina & Eye Specialists. She will be offering care to patients in her sub-speciality of Glaucoma.

Dr Anne Lee graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1996 with both a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Honours). She commenced her junior medical officer appointment at Concord Repatriation Hospital, then subsequently enrolled in a PhD at the University of Sydney/ Westmead Millenium Institute in 2002.

Dr Lee was accepted in to the RANZCO program in 2004 and completed her fellowship training in 2008 whilst simultaneously completing her PhD in Systemic and Ocular determinants of prevalent and incident open-angle glaucoma. Dr Lee has been an author of over 30 peer-reviewed journals and has also been awarded several post graduate grants and awards. She has also presented at numerous scientific conferences.

Dr Lee completed her sub specialty training in Glaucoma in the United Kingdom at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, and at Huddersfield and Calderdale Hospitals before returning to Australia in 2010.

Dr Lee is currently a Glaucoma consultant at Sydney Eye Hospital and Liverpool Hospital, and a clinical lecturer at University of Sydney. She is also an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and the NSW Mentor co-ordinator for the college. She joins Gladesville Eye Specialists from March 2014.
